Super Bowl weekend, meaning of course nothing worthwhile opens. So I'm completely phoning it in; this will probably be the first time since I started doing this that I won't see any of the movies listed.

The reviews for Because I Said So are predictably harsh, but a few mention the good work of Lauren Graham, who I wish would get some lead roles. I've stopped watching Gilmore Girls, which has "jumped the shark," but I've always found her an interesting (and attractive) actress.
The Pang Brothers' "The Eye" was actually pretty good, but Messengers looks like every other generic J-horror inspired film from the past 5 years. Hopefully the failure of this (along with Dark Water and The Grudge sequel) will finally kill the trend.
I do enjoy that the studio has stolen their own White Noise marketing campaign out of desperation.
I second that rec of The Thai The Eye.
