But, wow. I knew they lived a long time, but 250 years is far longer than I would have guessed.

Yeah sure, that's fine if you want Slate's ivy league, "hate god first" evolution explanation.

Those of us raised the Christian way know that God makes tortoises live longer because he likes to ride them when he visits Earth, and it takes a very long time to ride anywhere on a tortoise.
