Okay, I'm really getting tantalized by The Others. Just what the fuck are they up to? It's kind of comical how the plane passengers keep getting out-fought and out-thought by them. I keep waiting for the tables to turn. Loved the Red Sox gag, too.
I was so excited by last week's, and then last night's felt so ho-hum. We'll see what they do next week when they pick up the third thread of the blown-out Hatch from last season's finale.
I'm with slim.....I'm waiting for one of them to actually be as smart as they seem. Jack *must* withstand the pressure from Ben & Juliet.... if Sayid is so smart as to see the fresh tracks and knows how crafty the Others are, why would he think they would walk into his trap and not just go for the boat???? And can he shoot a rifle or not? I thought this guy was trained Republican Guard!!!
And I echo jaydro's last thought...can't wait to see what happened in the "explosion"
I thought last night was a significant improvement over the premiere. Hopefully we're following the same pattern as S2 (weak opening, solid ground by episodes 4-5)
I've got to agree re: Sayid's actions last night. I think Charlie hopped up on black tar could have figured out that The Others wouldn't take the direct approach in their attack. Why an Iraqi super soldier couldn't have figured out the same thing is a mystery. I guess we'll see if it's a case of lazy writing or something more.
Digging the Others, particularly Henry and Julia. REALLY looking forward to the return of "Season One Badass" Locke next week.
