I thought this was a good, exciting episode. I've read that this next 16 episode run will de-emphasize The Others.

A few questions: what happened when the sky went purple?

Is the Mr. Alper (sp?) who hired Juliet "Jacob?" I noticed we did not hear his first name. They must be the Hanso corporation.

Alex is not really Ben's daughter, right? She's Danielle's daughter, stolen in infancy.

It's funny, I had become really deflated about Lost, but then when the episode started I was all excited again. It did seem a like a good one.

I can't answer your questions, sorry. I thought I saw a slide of Gerald DeGroot in the brainwashing film that was going on.

It seemed like the ad breaks came about every seven minutes or something--thankfully I started watching my recording at 10:24.

Read a few things on a Lost message board…

The name of the company that was recruiting Juliet was Mittelos. That’s an anagram of “Lost time”. One of the producers said in an interview that there would be an anagram in this episode that would explain a lot. Aldo the guard was reading a Brief History of Time. It would appear that time doesn’t proceed on the island as it does in the rest of the world.

Still doesn't explain the smoke monster and the giant foot (or was it feet?).

But this was an episode back in the right direction. Also good to know that they, the scriptwriters and producers, have agreed on having an 100 episode arc in total.

Definitely agree that this was a great return episode. It's also nice to know that there are no breaks between now and the end of season 3....

As always there are many questions. Why do "The Others" need a doctor that can impregnate a male field mouse? Why does Ethan look older? Did they really "arrange" for the bus hit?

As far as Ben being Alex's father and Danielle being Alex's mother...we only know what we've been told. D said that her daughter Alex was taken when she was a baby and that she killed her husband because he had the sickness, right? Ben said he's been on the island his entire life and while they might have large noses, I think it's pretty safe to say this is probably the french Alex.

Did you guys ever see the *Final* episode of lost from CES2007? Pretty funny... http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/The_Final_Episode
