Humor a la Suèdoise

by Nick
Figured I'd expose you guys to some different aspects of the "Swedish experience." Here are some comic strips from artist Jan Stenmark. Make you wonder why there are no great Swedish comics? (translations mine)
This last one was published the day after the long-ruling Social Democratic party lost the elections. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Well, he's no Gary Larson, but he does remind me some of Glen Baxter: http://www.glenbaxter.com/

But I don't get Baxter. I get Stenmark, and even laugh at some of the tragic absurdity of his stuff. I get Larson, in so far as I find his stuff absurdly surreal. Baxter is just surreal, I don't get the point of it.

I can't stop laughing at the moose one. That's just freakin' awesome.

I guess I had to be there to fully appreciate the pig. But I agree with Olaf...that moose one is great, and I admit to evil laughter regarding the victim's victim.
